摘要：
The static behaviour of arch dams can be predicted satisfactorily by a simplified edge perturbation method of shell theory for the four relevant loading cases of dead-weight, water pressure, concrete shrinkage and temperature variation. A comparison of the predictions for 20 arch dams with in-situ and model measurements confirms this statement. The application of this new approximate method is explained with a detailed posterior analysis of the asymmetric Limberg Dam in Austria.
