USE OF ROCIVERINE IN PATIENTS WITH MOTOR URGE INCONTINENCE - A CYSTOMANOMETRIC STUDY OF DOSE-EFFECT CORRELATIONS

Two well-matched groups of patients (eight per group) with motor urge incontinence were treated with rociverine at single doses of 40 mg orally and 20 mg intramuscularly. Cystomanometry was performed before and after drug administration. Comparison of the effects of rociverine on bladder contractility at the two doses and administration routes used showed that the higher oral dose induces significantly greater changes in bladder activity than the lower intramuscular dose. No unwanted side effects were observed with either of the administration regimens.
