The nuclear rainbow phenomemon in quasi-elastic processes (inelastic scattering, one-nucleon transfer reactions) induced by He-3,He-4 ious on deformed target nuclei is discussed. Analyses of He-3 inelastic scattering and (He-3,alpha) reaction on Si-30 at 60 MeV have been carried out, using the parametrized form of the scattering matrix proposed by the authors in previous papers. We conclude that a more precise definition of the interaction parameters is provided at short distances, about twice smaller than the strong absorption radius. Refractive and diffractive contributions to the differential cross section for inelastic scattering to the first 2(+) state of the target nuclei are separated.
