摘要
Because they have high anti-cavitation properties, axial impellers (screws) have been extensively used as superposition rotors for high pressure head centrifugal screw pumps (CSPs) and also as the operative impellers on low pressure head axial booster pumps. The purpose of a booster pump is to produce a pressure head of sufficient value to ensure that the main pump will operate without cavitation over its whole range of outputs. A method for determining the critical cavitation margin of an axial pump is suggested which is based on an examination of the streamlining by the flow of a viscous fluid past a plane blading arrngement.
