An analysis model was developed for the material nonlinear analysis of continuous fiber-reinforced composite plates subject to bending loads. The respective yield criterion and flow rule of each constituent, namely fiber or matrix, can be used in the model instead of those for the globally smeared anisotropic material. The respective stresses occurring on each constituent can also be obtained directly from the present model. The finite element formulation was developed for the analysis model. Some examples of composite plate bending were solved using the present formulation.
