摘要
Using the relationships established by Sayers between the velocities of ultrasonic waves and the texture of polycrystalline sheet material with a cubic lattice symmetry, a quantitative evaluation has been made of the ODF coefficients C-400 and C-420 from the elasticity constants of alpha-FE single crystals, the time delays of one longitudinal and two shear ultrasonic waves, the planes of polarization of which lie along and perpendicular to the rolling direction, in sheets of low carbon steels with an equiaxial grain and grain elongated along the direction of rolling.
