摘要
The kinetics of H2O2 decomposition was studied in aqueous medium in presence of Dowex-50W resin in the form of dimethylamine-Cu(II) complex ions. The structure of the complex in the resin, determined experimentally, was found to have the total [Cu2+]: [dimethylamine] = 1:2 concentration ratio. The active species, formed as an intermediate at the beginning of the reaction, had an inhibiting effect on the reaction rate. The reaction was first order for [H2O2] and step-wise mechanism was proposed. The data have been treated quantitatively in the light of the activation parameters.
