摘要:
A pseudo-random generator for decimal numbers (biquinary pairs) based on a combination of a binary and a quinary maximal-length sequence is presented. With an appropriate vector mapping of the combined maximal-length sequences the autocorrelation function is shown to be tri-level with approximate values of 1, 0.5, and 0. This effectively renders the numbers uncorrelated except at values equal to the lengths of the individual maximal-length sequences, where this autocorrelation is 0.5. The first peak value of the autocorrelation function occurs at a value equal to the length of the shorter of the component sequences.
