CHARGE-DENSITIES AND OCCUPATION NUMBERS OF SHELL STATES OF ND-142, ND-146, ND-150 ISOTOPES NEAR THE FERMI-SURFACE

The charge densities of neodymium isotopes are calculated using a modified shell model with fractional occupation numbers of states near the Fermi surface. The deformation of the nucleus and the contribution of the first 2(1)+ state to charge densities were taken into account on the basis of the Bohr-Mottelson collective model. The transition charge densities of low-frequency dipole oscillations of neodymium isotopes, obtained using the microscopic model, are in good agreement with model-independent densities, while hydrodynamic models and the scaling approximation lead to results that are in contradiction with the experimental data.
