摘要
Text following immediately introduces a theoretical method to simulate the propagation of an optical pulse in nonlinear media. Dispersive and nonlinear effects are taken into account through the polarization introduced in MAXWELL's equations. Those equations are solved in the time domain using the F.D.T.D. (Finite Difference Time Domain) method, that allows to minimize the assumptions and to model ultrashort pulses.
