摘要
It is known that acridine and quinoline are the main components of the high-boiling fraction of heavy pyridine bases (HPB); they have a protective effect and are used as inhibitors of the acid corrosion of metals left bracket 8 right bracket . The HPB obtained on coal-tar chemical plants usually also contain anthracene and naphthalene. A mixture of these four compounds was analyzed by liquid chromatography, by using a SF-26 spectrophotometer with a flow-through cell. It was of interest to utilize the spectrophotometer as detector for the analysis of the composition of solutions. By selecting the working wavelength for the component sought, it can be successfully determined in mixtures. In this case differences in the detection limits are due to different molar extinction coefficients of these substances. These, in turn, are due to differences in the composition and structure of the investigated substances.
