MHD Flow of Maxwell Fluid Over a Stretching Sheet in the Presence of Nanoparticles, Thermal Radiation and Chemical Reaction: A Numerical Study

摘要
In this article, we investigate the applied magnetic fluid and radiative heat transfer effects in the flow of Maxwell fluid past a stretching sheet. Analysis is performed in the presence of nanoparticles and first order chemical reaction. The Brownian motion and thermophoresis are taken into account according to Rosseland's approximation. The governing partial differential equations have been transformed into a system of ordinary differential equations which are solved numerically by fourth-fifth order Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg method over the entire range of physical parameters. Numerical solutions are obtained for distributions of velocity, temperature and concentration, as well as, for the skin friction, local Nusselt number and local Sherwood number for several values of governing parameters. A comparison with previous studies of viscous flow has been done and the results are found to be in excellent agreement.
