摘要
There is a multiplicity of voices found in the stories that make up Kadosh, the second prose book by the Brazilian writer Hilda Hilst. These voices and the way that they erase the boundaries between the inside and outside, between the different participants in the conversations, and even between what is normally thought of as sacred and what is profane, point to a particular conception of how the tissue of reality is constructed, deconstructed, and reconstructed. Language is at the very basis of this particular Hilstian reality, which starts to construct itself from the choice of the book's name as Kadosh, the Hebrew word for "sacred."
