Therapeutic Education in a Community Mental Health Perspective

This work aims to be a reflexive analysis about the nursing interventions regarding adherence Functional Unit in the Community Team Fan, the Department of Psychiatry, Hospital Prof. Doutor Fernando Fonseca. Firstly we do a literature review on the various concepts related to the subject in order to increase understanding of membership in all its dimensions. We made a quantitative analysis on the evolution of users benefiting from the therapy supervision, and we performed a characterization of this population regarding age, gender, diagnoses and relation between the start of therapy and monitoring events in three hospital patients. Education in community rehabilitation therapy has been a primary objective in our department and we have documented a rise in the number of users with therapy supervision. Therapy supervision contributed to a decrease in hospitalization and emergency department visits, thereby improving signif-families, strengthening the therapeutic alliance with the team.
