摘要
The topological structure, global and local properties of disclinations in the gauge field theory of dislocation and disclination continuum are studied by means of the decomposition of gauge potentials. In our gauge theory, a coupling constant is introduced, which is essential to represent the size of disclinations. The disclinations we discuss are the general three dimensional case, which is characterized by the so-called disclination points. The topological characteristics of the disclinations in dislocation and disclination continuum are determined by the Brouwer degrees and Hopf indices at the disclination points in the medium.
