摘要：
The anatomy of 4 species of pisiid clam sampled in Ethiopia, Zimbabwe and South Africa was studied. The new species Pisidium ethiopicum is described, including the Ethiopian form regarded earlier as a variety of P. casertanum (Poli). P. incomitatum Kuiper is included in the genus Musculium as type species of a new subgenus Pseudopisidium. Anatomical characters of Pisidium kenianum Preston and P. langleyanum Melvill & Ponsonby are also discussed.
