Huge scale migrations of the Rohingyas which took place after the independence of Burma (Myanmar) is related to complex historical and political reasons. The continuing waves of migration have brought the Rohingyas to the Malaysia by the end of 1980s. This research focuses on the everyday life experiences of Rohingyas who have settled in Malaysia. The livelihood of the Rohingyas is a form of struggle within a social environment characterised by extreme uncertainty. The experiences of Rohingyas will be discussed accordingly under separate aspects: economic, health, education, document and safety. This research has also found the 'ambiguous' status of the Rohingyas has a serious implications on every aspect of their everyday life.
