EMISSION OF BE-7 FROM NUCLEI WITH ATOMIC NUMBERS Z-GREATER-THAN-OR-EQUAL-TO-13 INDUCED BY INTERMEDIATE-ENERGY PROTONS

摘要
Cross-sections of the (p,Be-7) reaction are calculated for nuclei from Al to U at energies up to 100 MeV. Pre-equilibrium Be-7 emission is described by the hybrid exciton model combined with the coalescence pick-up model. For all nuclei with the exception of Bi-209 there is good agreement between calculated and experimental data.
