Proposal of a Postmodern Reading of the City

This work proposes a literary reading of the new meanings that acquires the postmodern city. The literary configuration of the urban space in the postmodernity is the result of the combination of multiple languages: the language of the city as center, that of the city as periphery, as residual city, as the city of no places, the language of the action, that of the speed, that of the disintegration, of the intensity, of the moment. The new images of the city can appear by means of the only speech: the speech of the hyperreality.
