摘要
Selected topics in the rapidly evolving field of column flotation are reviewed. The status of column scale-up concerns is assessed, with particular emphasis on recent measurements of froth zone performance. Column circuits are reviewed, and some performance comparisons between column and column/mechanical cell cleaning circuits are made. The effect of bubble size and gas rate upon column operation is discussed in general terms, and a comprehensive categorization of bubble generation techniques is made, including those used for feed slurry aeration.
