摘要
A discussion is presented on microstructural effects during plastic flow of metals at high rates of strain. The discussion is based on the constitutive formalism, Klepaczko (1988a,b), which has been substantially improved during recent years. Evolution of the internal and effective stress components is discussed within the framework of the following microstructural parameters : the forest and mobile dislocation densities, the subgrain diameter, the mean distance between twins, the grain diameter and development of the adiabatic microbands. Finally, some implications of shock-wave loading on microstructure evolution is taken into account.
