The construction of the republican ideals at the Rio de Janeiro city

Demonstrate how the Rio de Janeiro, at the turn of the nineteenth century to the twentieth century, was the venue where the elite republican ideal gesture and put it into practice is the purpose of this article, which presents a brief overview of those years after the proclamation. It is the dichotomy discussed by literary critics, sociologists and economists who study this period and that it arrives until the present day.
