摘要：
The objective is to present a purpose to the Engineering Systems Educational Program for the Universidad Autonoma de Bucaramanga according to its Institutional Education Project, from this branch of knowledge's foundations and origins. Based upon this concept some general professional competences to the program are proposed. This exercise is offered as a way to rethink the Engineering Systems educational process, in order to respect the context where this interdisciplinary engineering makes its intervention.
