In recent years the number of nurse graduates has increased in teacher's function without a systematic prepare to carry out this profession. This study aimed to understand how nurses were established as teachers in technical education courses in inner cities in Mato Grosso do Sul. This is a research with a qualitative, descriptive and explanatory approach in which the data were analyzed through method of interpretation of meanings, with a Novoa and Tardif studies support. The results pointed out the absence of teaching formation to work in education. These people became teachers by daily activities carried out in health institutions that try to consider about their professional practices as an upbringing possibility. It is believed that it is necessary more studies about this subject since in the face of the capitalist and globalized world, it must be work and study the real conditions of these teachers and perform and consider about their teaching formation.
