Neology: a reflection of the present and future of a society and its language

This paper intends to show, with some examples taken from the Alma Mater newspaper, the presence of neologisms in the recent political and linguistic reality of Colombian society, in the domain of law and political science, and specifically, in the subdomain of violentology. In particular, this paper focuses on neologisms created from the prefix para-. In addition, new lines of research probably productive are examined, all related to the creation of neologisms in the subject fields mentioned above.
