This work tries the path of salted anchovy being served of one of its principal actors: the Italians. We will discover the spectacular twenties with the massive arrival of the Sicilians Salters, the arrival of the importing hauses at the end of the same decade, the commercial problems derived from the overproduction and the obstacles generated by the different political international conflicts which avoid the exportation towards the ports of Italy, principal destination of the elaborations manufactured in Spain.
