摘要
Gypsy moth males, Lymantria dispar (L.) (Lepidoptera: Lymantriidae), were captured in pheromone-baited survey traps in 23 Texas counties from 1982 to 1992. The traps were deployed and monitored by the Texas Department of Agriculture and the United States Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service. A summary of die survey and detection program implemented by these agencies and resulting data as recorded by the Texas Agricultural Extension Service's Texas Plant Pest Survey and Detection Program at Texas A&M University suggest the repeated introduction of the moth into the state rather than an actual breeding population.
