摘要
A computationally efficient formulation of the solution for the electric potential and field due to an axisymmetric accelerator gap is derived. The potential solution is obtained from an accurate integration of the Green function integral solution of Laplace's equation. This result provides information about the focusing properties of a gap, and can be used to obtain forces needed in particle transport codes.
