摘要
Background. The paper presents an author's own experience in use of bone cement with beta-tricalcium phosphate in the management of solitary bone cysts. Material and methods. The authors present results of treatment of 9 children with solitary bone cyst. All the patients were treated by cement based on beta-tricalcium phosphate injection of the bone cyst. The control postoperative X-rays were taken after 6 and 12 months. Results. Radiographic examination revealed indicating bone regeneration. Successful results were observed in all patients. There were no complications after treatment. Conclusions. The good results of treatment, minimally invasive operative management, no postoperative complications and a short hospital stay, encourage more widespread use of bone cement based on beta-tricalcium phosphate in treatment of solitary bone cysts.
