ADVANCING CIVIL ENGINEERS

Civil engineering is becoming increasingly diverse. Civil engineers manage the conception, innovation, promotion, design, construction, operation, maintenance and eventual removal of the amenities of modern civilization. In order to advance civil engineers, and thereby civil engineering, the following must be considered: younger engineers must be hired into the driving seats; a radical re-skill program must be advanced and implemented; the qualities and values of their work must be publicized.
