Zdenekius smithi, new genus, new species is described. This nearctic genus of Torymidae is transcontinental across the northern United States extending into southeastern Canada. Zdenekius is reared in association with twig-nesting Sphecidae and Vespidae, but the exact host relations are not known. It may be a primary and/or a secondary parasite on dipterous and hymenopterous parasites of these wasps.
