GENERALIZATIONS OF THE SPHERICAL MEAN CONVEXITY THEOREM ON SUBHARMONIC FUNCTIONS

Abstract. An apparently new proof of the theorem in the title is given. The theorem is then generalized to mean values over level surfaces of Green functions, of subharmonic functions associated with a self-adjoint elliptic partial differential operator with variable coefficients. The analogue for subtemperatures is also proved by a similar method.
