摘要
Civil society is a concept studied by sociologists, political scientists, anthropologists all over the world. However, Croatian political science and sociology suffer from a serious lack of research on this phenomenon. In order to contribute to the study of civil society, this article analyzes its structure and nature. In particular, it seeks to describe the dynamics of civil society in Croatia by using categorical apparatus of public policy. The main hypothesis of the article is that coordination of civil society organizations correlates with its efficiency. The author uses qualitative research methods in order to elaborate his point. The article is structured as follows. First, the theoretical and methodological chapter presents historical preview of the idea of civil society and explains research design. Second, the analytical chapter elaborates on the previously conducted research on civil society and reflects on the interviews organized for the purposes of this study. The concluding chapter offers an assessment of the effectiveness of civil society in Croatia.
