摘要
There are conflicting findings surrounding the association of sex hormones and myocardial infarction (MI) (heart disease). In particular, high oestradiol levels in women are often thought to be protective and explain why the rates of heart disease are lower in women than men. For men, those with low levels of testosterone are often thought to be more prone to develop heart disease in their lifetimes.
