摘要：
Oxazolo[1,2-a]quinoline derivatives were used to synthesise novel bridgehead cyanine dyes such as azamethine, monomethine and trimethine cyanines. The electronic absorption spectra of these dyes in ethanol and several organic solvents are discussed.
