Influence of gas compressibility on the critical conditions for instability in the electrostatic field of a bubble in a dielectric liquid

摘要：
It is shown that unlike the case of a liquid droplet, the critical strength of a uniform electrostatic field required for instability of a gas bubble in a liquid dielectric decreases as the compressibility of the gas in the bubble increases.
