Development of instrumentation equipment for the diagnostics of physical properties of environments and materials at the Karpenko Physicomechanical Institute of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences

We present a survey of the research carried out at the Karpenko Physicomechanical Institute of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences into the field of remote diagnostics of the physical properties of environments and materials. Our main attention is focused on the instrument-making aspects of the problem. A conclusion is made that it is advisable to apply the results obtained at the Karpenko Physicomechanical Institute in the contemporary materials science.
