Density, viscosity and ultrasonic study of tris(acetylacetonato)cobalt(III) in alcohols

摘要
Studies on apparent molar volume and viscosity have been made for the solutions of Tris(acetyl acetonato) cobalt(III) in methanol, ethanol, propanol and butanol at 288.15, 293.15 and 298.15 K. Studies on ultrasonic velocity have also been made in these solvents to evaluate various acoustic parameters, relaxation time, Gibbs free energy and solvation number at 298.15 K. The results are discussed in terms cf ion-ion and ion-solvent interactions in these solutions. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
