摘要：
Sawn timbers are inexpensive and also readily available for heavy timber construction. One problem is to find large and long sawn timbers at reasonable costs within short time limits. Thus, in order to make use of readily available sawn timbers to produce large, long limber beams for use as highway bridge girders[1], a unique method of moment resisting splices was developed and tested in full scale.
