摘要：
Leather industry wastes can provide biodegadable polymer (BDP) and value added products through process biotechnology. As the wastes are highly proteinaceous, a wide range of value added products could be retrieved making the leather industry an integrated business with value creation opportunities. These are described in this progress review.
