摘要
The conflict between the requests of the economic growth and the limited resources requires the reorientation of all mankind to another model of socio-economic development, a model that led to the development of a new concept, that of sustainable development. This concept, crystallized in time over several decades, has acquired specific political values in a globalized world and provides a comprehensive reform of the society which includes all the aspects of the human development. In the National Strategy for Sustainable Development of Romania this new orientation is not treated as one of the possible options, but as the only rational perspective of national becoming, having as result the steadiness of a new paradigm of development through the confluence of the economic, social and environmental factors.
