Modelling of planetary gearbox for fault detection. Investigation on local damage size and time-varying load conditions influence to vibration response

摘要
Planetary gears are widely used to transmit heavy load from driving motor to driven machine. They can be affected by several defects reducing their performance and giving rise to undesirable noise and vibration. In the paper we propose a modelling of one of the major tooth defects occurring in teeth which are local damage. The presence of time varying load conditions can be a supplementary excitation to the system that causes additional vibration emissions; the question is how did the transmission behave in presence of time varying loads and local damage? How will the damage size influence on the vibration signatures of the transmission? That is the goal of this paper in which we will give some responses about this issue.
