Electrochromic properties of poly(ethylene oxide)/V2O5 nanocomposite films

摘要
The nanocomposite films were prepared by direct intercalation of poly(ethylene oxide), PEO, into V2O5 xerogel via sol-gel route. The electrochromic behavior was investigated by cyclic voltammograms and optical spectral transmittance. The results show that the cycleability and the cycling stability of insertion/extraction of Li+ ions were improved and the transmittance in the visible and near infrared region was increased in (PEO)(0.5)V(2)O(5.)nH(2)O nanocomposite film. The intercalation of PEO into V2O5 interlayer weakened the cathodic electrochromic characteristics and improved the anodic electrochromic characteristics.
