摘要
PM14 started up in May '95. Mondi and SCA jointly funded the project. The machine consists of a Valmet Speed Former HS-SC, Sym Press II + 4th press, Sym Run dryers, soft calender and Optireel. Wire width is 10m with a trimmed width of 9.4m. Product is newsprint in a range of 42.5 - 48.8 g/m2 from 100% recycled fibre. Speed is in the range of 1600 m/min and production capacity from PM14 is 280,000 t/annum. PM14 represented a significant challenge in papermaking when we consider the furnish of 100% recycled at speeds in excess of 1600 m/min. This paper looks back at the last 2 1/2 years at some of the main areas of interest.
