摘要
This paper presents a new open-source computational platform with original features capable of performing simulations for power flow, balanced and unbalanced short circuits, and harmonics, besides studies of transient and dynamic stability with user-defined controls. The software Power System Platform of Federal University of Uberlandia (PSP-UFU) allows for the construction of any electric transmission network and control systems through the deployment of visual elements. Its cross-platform nature provides independence from working with a single operating system. A standard software architecture was used during the development of the platform, as well as standardization and source code documentation, practices necessary for the development of software by third parties. Test systems were built in order to validate the developed calculation tools, and the obtained results, when compared alongside well-established commercial programs, proved to be very satisfactory. The software developed in this work aims to provide efficient computer simulation tools for research and education purposes, in addition to industrial applications in electrical power systems.
