Development of portable EMG-controlled electrical stimulator

摘要
Paralyzed muscles due to central nervous system impairment are contracted by external electrical stimulation. Small voluntary electromyograms are observed in these muscles. As the present device gives an electrical stimulation in proportion to the electromyograms via the same electrodes, they can generate sufficient contractions. The device is small (75x50x20mm including size AAA dry battery x4) enough to mount the body.
