摘要
Cast high alloyed metastable austenitic CrMnNi-TRIP-steels are rather novel corrosion resistant materials and still under development. Due to the transformation-induced plasticity effect (TRIP) high stresses combined with high ductility can be achieved up to high strain rates of 10(3) l/s. Deformation temperatures and strain rate influence the martensitic phase transformation rate during plastic deformation and have a strong effect on achieved strength and failure properties. Despite the cast coarse grained microstructure, a high energy consumption up to crash relevant strain rates is reached due to the pronounced TRIP-effect.
