摘要
The present article wants to reveal the importance of the manufacturing flaws in the lattice structures welded joints. The structural advantages of IPE/HEA type profiles or tubular steel elements have become obvious in recent decades, these elements being used especially at large span structures. Increasingly use of closed cross section profiles for truss beam elements, lattice or reticular structures, brought to the fore the problem of designing their joints. In terms of the welding connection type, node elements can be connected directly through welded gussets or with welding of the processed elements at the ends. The most economical way to join the elements is by direct welding without gusset or other steel plates. This solution also provides the most effective way of corrosion protection and time maintenance. The article will be presented a study case - different types of manufacturing flaws applied to one truss beam welded joint. Throughout Finite Element Method will be revealed the implication of the joint flaw in the whole structural assembly behaviour.
