摘要
Reflections, multipath propagation, and scattering creates phantom sources of signal. Additionally, in the presence of multiple, actual devices a reliable detection, identification, and localization of radio controlled (RC) devices is challenging. RC devices employing super regenerative receivers (SRR) emit unintended radiations in their ON state. Detection and identification of these devices under strong non-line of sight (NLOS) environment and presence of multiple devices has major security applications. This paper introduces a novel detection scheme that combines self-similarity and received signal strength indicator (RSSI) based detection with minimum variance distortionless response (MVDR) method. It is capable of detection of multiple SRRs using 4-element array antenna. RSSI method detects multiple devices from received signal strength and Hurst parameter identifies self-similar SRR devices. MVDR improves detection of multiple devices by jamming unwanted signals and signals from known angle of arrival (AOA). Furthermore, regularization is implemented to reduce variation in detection due to environmental noise. Experimental results for detection have also been presented for multiple SRR receivers (door bells at 315 MHz).
