摘要
We introduce a new class of telescope that is optimized for large aperture, multi-object integral field spectroscopy. A particular design is presented that uses a Cassegrain telescope with two concentric spherical mirrors to achieve a 3 degree field of view. The images are corrected over numerous 4 x 20 arcsec sub-fields using pairs of two small relay mirrors. Multiple regions in the 3 degree field of the telescope can be corrected simultaneously using numerous relays. The images can be fed into fiber bundles for integral field spectroscopy. The relays can also use natural guide star adaptive optics for diffraction limited imaging of hundreds of regions on the sky, each a few arcseconds across.
